Rhubarb Harvest

This summer has been very good for our rhubarb plant, lots of big strong tasty sticks, plus its organic we know what goes on it (nothing). So I used the first of it for a rhubarb cake and it had to have custard. Still trying to keep healthy I added a couple of tablespoons of a Flaxseed, Almonds, Brazil Nuts & Q10 blend (Linwoods brand) to the cake mix, very tasty.
What to make next?

  1. Love your recipe, Nezumi.
What to do more? You can cook jelly of rhubarb. Finely chop it and put in boiling water, put the sugar if you want. 2 spoons of potato or corn starch dissolve in warm water and slowly pour it into boiling rhubarb. When cool, you can drink.

    1. O No, that's sad :( We have had this rhubarb crown growing for years, I would be very sad if it stopped growing. The only problem we do get is snails they seen to like attacking the leaves.

    1. Thank You Sara, the rhubarb is very good this year and even though the sticks are very large they have a lot of flavour and a good tart taste.
      Have a Great Weekend :)
