A Basket of Colours

Creating a view shorts for YouTube, reflecting a yarny cosy vibe.

Some days ask very little of us.

They arrive quietly, wrapped in rain and soft light, with no urgency beyond the gentle rhythm of the hours passing. On days like these, comfort can be found in the simplest of places - a warm drink, a favourite chair, and a basket filled with colour.

The basket sits by the window, where the rain traces slow paths down the glass. Inside, the yarn waits patiently, each skein holding its own promise. Moss greens, warm golds, sky blues, and soft creams - small worlds of possibility wound into gentle spirals.

There is something deeply reassuring about yarn. It does not rush. It does not demand. It simply offers itself to be shaped, stitch by stitch, into something useful, something warm, something kind.

Nearby, a black cat watches with calm interest, as though guarding the quiet. The kettle hums, the light softens, and the world feels just a little smaller, a little safer.

Perhaps that is the real comfort of a basket of colours - not what it becomes, but what it invites us to be. Slower. Softer. Present.

In NezumiWorld, these small moments matter. They remind us that beauty often lives in the corners of ordinary days, waiting patiently beside the window.

Steam from Tea and a Purring Cat

There’s something special about small, handmade moments — rain tapping at the window, tea warming your hands, yarn moving softly through your fingers, and a cat choosing the coziest place in the room.

This little Valentine piece is a reminder that love isn’t only romantic. It lives in kindness, quiet creativity, and the warmth we share with the world through the things we make. Every stitch holds a tiny wish for comfort, calm, and connection.

The Strongest Voice Is the One Within

The Strongest Voice Is the One Within

When the noise around you grows louder and the pressure to act builds—pause.

Breathe.

That inner voice? It’s not just a whisper. It’s wisdom.

You’ve had the answers all along. Trust them.

🐝 Throwback Thursday: One Bee, a Green Screen, and a Lot of Patience

Back in 2009, I crocheted this tiny bee.
Why? I love bees! And once it existed, I naturally thought: “This bee deserves to be a star.”

So I built a little set, pulled out a green screen, and painstakingly created a stop motion video—frame by frame—by hand. No fancy software, no automation, just me, the bee, and a whole lot of coffee-fueled determination.

Fast forward to today, and I look at that little buzzy project and think:

“If I did this now, I’d 100% ask AI to help edit, animate, colour-correct, maybe even write the bee’s origin story.”

Progress, right?

But there’s something magical about that messy, DIY creativity too—something very 2009-core. I’ll never forget the feeling of watching that first janky little animation come to life.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to ask ChatGPT to help my 2025 self write a screenplay for Bee 2: The Buzz Awakens. 🐝💻✨ and I need to crochet some more bees (AI can't do that yet)
